Akwa Ibom State Youth Empowerment Program Form Portal

The Akwa Ibom State government through the directives of the Akwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno invites application from all meaningful akwa-ibomites to apply for the 100, 000 youth empowerment scheme beginning from the month of October 2024

The application registration will be done in the employment database portal created by the state Ministry of Labour and Manpower Development through the office of the Senior Special Assistant on ICT to the governor.

Out of the 100,000 youth, 60,000 youths (N5,000 monthly) will be selected from the database for a one-off business support scheme of N50,000 each within 12 calendar months.

General Requirements For Akwa Ibom Youth Empowerment Application Registration

  1. Must be a Nigerian, and
  2. Also an indigene of akwa ibom state
  3. Must be 18 years and above
  4. Must have National Identification Number (NIN)
  5. Academic Qualification (SSCE, OND, NCE, HND or BSc and Masters)
  6. Must have Bank Verification Number (BVN)
  7. And also bank account with any commercial bank (Deposit money banks)
  8. Local Government means of identification (Certificate of origin)

List of Local Government Eligible for Akwa Ibom Youth Empowerment Program

The scheme include paid training at the DAKKADA Skills Acquisition Center (DASAC) for 1,000 participants across 31 LGAs, with a monthly transport allowance of N20,000 per person throughout the training duration.

Increased in bursary for students in public tertiary institutions from N10,000 to N20,000 for undergraduates and from N10,000 to N30,000 for professional students (Law, Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture) for 20,000 students in the 2024/2025 academic session.

He said there will be an educational grant for 1,000 public tertiary institution students living with disabilities at N250,000 for undergraduates and N300,000 for professional and postgraduate students.

While 2,000 youths will benefit from the Entrepreneurial Accelerator Programme (EAP) organised by Ibom-led with a N500,000 grant and N250,000 start-up capital, and 3,000 youths will receive support in agribusiness.

NOTE: 3,000 youths will be employed (100 per LGA, excluding Uyo LGA) through the Ibom Community Watch to provide crowd control and complementary intelligence gathering at the grassroots, in addition to the 550 youths already engaged from Uyo LGA.

Akwa Ibom Youth Empowerment Of 100,000 Akwa-Ibomite

The Akwa ibom Youth Empowerment Program typically aims to provide young people with the tools, skills, and opportunities they need to become active, engaged, and capable individuals in their communities.
