The Akwa Ibom State government on the 21st of October 2024, will officially launch the akwa ibom employment portal for the empowerment of 100,000 youth in the state, the portal will also stand as employment selection criteria for state civil service, SUBEB and Secondary school teachers recruitment.

It is advice that all the unemployed citizen’s of akwa ibom state that have a minimum of primary (6) six certificate, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or GCE), OND, NCE, HND OR BSc and Master’s should kindly visit the official state employment Database Portal below and register.

About Akwa Ibom

Akwa Ibom State was created on the 23rd of September 1987 by the then Military Administration of General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida. The creation of the State brought to fruition years of prolonged struggle by the people that occupied the mainland part of the former Cross River State, South South Geo-political Region of Nigeria.

The oil rich state produced the highest oil and gas on the country. The Atlantic coastline located in the state stretches 129km from Oron in the East to Ikot Abasi in the West. The State comprises several related sub-ethnic groups. They include Ibibio, Annang, Oron, Eket, Ibeno, Mbo, Okobo and the Adonis. They share a common ancestry and are reputed to be the first settlers in present day South Eastern Nigeria.
