Required Eligibility Criteria For HSSC JBT Teacher Job Recruitment
Educational Qualifications
To be eligible for the HSSC Junior Basic Training (JBT) Teacher positions, candidates must meet one of the following educational qualifications:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education by NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002.
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- A graduation degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.) and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Additionally, candidates must have qualified for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) or the School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET) and possess a matriculation certificate with Hindi/Sanskrit or equivalent qualifications.

Age Limit
Candidates applying for the JBT Teacher post should be between the ages of 18 and 42 years as of the date of application. Age relaxations are applicable as per Haryana Government norms:
- Scheduled Castes (SC): 5 years
- Backward Classes (BC): 5 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years relaxation (additional 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/BC category)
- Ex-servicemen: Age relaxation as per service period plus 3 years, subject to a maximum age of 52 years.

HSSC JBT Teacher Vacancy Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in this written test, and those who score higher will have better chances of securing one of the available positions. The final merit list will be prepared based on the scores achieved in this examination, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process.
The exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 0.95 marks, making the total score 95 marks. The exam will cover various topics, including Child Development and Pedagogy, Languages (Hindi and English), Haryana General Knowledge, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability. The written exam will be conducted offline, OMR-based, with no negative marking for incorrect answers. The time allotted for the exam is 105 minutes.
