JAMB Change of Course / Institution – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) change of Course, Institution and Correction Data portal has been open, candidate that want to change their preferred choice of institution or course of study can now login to https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/. and start the correction process.

The management of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) hereby inform the general public and most especially JAMB candidate that want to change their institution and course of study, that JAMB portal for Change of Course and Institution and Date Correction is now available online.

Reason For JAMB Change of Course Or Institution

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Nigeria allows candidates to change their course or institution through a process known as “Change of Course” or “Change of Institution.” This typically happens after the release of UTME results or during the admission process. Here’s a general overview of how it works:

Eligibility:

You can apply for a change of course or institution if you did not meet the cut-off mark for your initial choice or if you simply want to switch to a different course or institution.

Considerations:

Eligibility for New Course: Ensure that you meet the entry requirements for the new course or institution.

Impact on Admission: Changing your course or institution may affect your chances of admission based on the competitiveness of the new choice.

Procedures For JAMB Change of Course, Institution and Data Correction

• Log into your JAMB profile – https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.
• Open the menu tab on your JAMB profile
• Click Register, under register a drop box will appear showing UTME correction of data
• Click it and follow the steps to pay either online or bank. You can make your payment online via JAMB portal.
• If you are having difficulties doing that, you can pay to the bank.
• After paying N2,500 at the bank plus additional bank charge of N100 naira, proceed to either the closest JAMB office or a JAMB accredited centre to complete the process. An additional fee will be charged for the service.

JAMB Data Correction Procedures

• Names Correction: This service allows candidates to correct spelling errors or arrangement mistakes in their names, such as Surname, First-name, or Last-name. Remember, this correction can only be done once.
• Date of Birth Correction: If there’s an error in your date of birth, you can correct it. However, this correction is a one-time opportunity.
• Passport Photograph Correction: Any error in the passport photograph submitted can be corrected only once.
• Gender Correction: For gender-related errors, corrections can be made. Supporting documents may be required for this change, and it can only be made once.
• State/LGA Correction: To correct your State/LGA of Origin, you might need to provide supporting documents. This correction can also be made only once.
• Profile Correction: Any required correction in your profile can be made once.
• Choice of Institution/Course Correction: This service allows candidates to change their choice of course or institution. Unlike other categories, this correction can be done multiple times with separate payments.

Note: The cost for corrections regarding the Course/Institution, Names, Date of Birth, Gender, State/LGA of Origin, etc., is N2,500 (two thousand five hundred naira only).

How to Start JAMB Change of Course / Institution / Data Process

• Visit the JAMB portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.
• Login with your Email and Password.
• Click on ‘Registration (2024 only)’ from the list of services on the left side.
• From the drop-down, select ‘2024 UTME Data Correction’ / ‘2024 DE Data Correction’ as your case may be.
• Proceed with the payment.

Note: After payment, visit the closest JAMB office or a JAMB accredited centre to complete the correction process.

Important Notice:

• You can change one or all your courses/institutions at the same time.
• Once the form is submitted, you can no longer make any changes again except for change of course and institution that can be done twice.
• There may be a limited number of schools or courses you can change to, so be sure to have 3 or 4 options, just in case the one you want to change to is not available.
• The cost for the change of course and Data correction is ₦2,500.
• You can use the one time payment of ₦2,500 to change your institution, course, name, date of birth, State and Local Government of origin.

Deadlines:

Make sure to check the deadlines for change of course as they can vary each year and may depend on whether it’s during the UTME or post-UTME period.
