General Requirements for the NHIS Recruitment
To be eligible for full-time employment, here are the key requirements to keep in mind:
- Demonstrated good behaviour and composure
- Willingness to adapt to new work environments
- Possession of a valid means of identification, such as a driver’s license, National Identification Card, International passport, Voters card, or NIN Number
- Strong teamwork skills
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
- Current practice license from the relevant Regulatory Council
- Full registration with the appropriate Regulatory Council
- For higher positions, a post-graduate qualification in public health, family medicine, health planning, or management is advantageous
- For specific roles like Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine, and Laboratory Science, relevant qualifications recognized by the respective councils are necessary
- Experience and skills in healthcare services and facilities monitoring and evaluation are preferred
- Depending on the position, specific years of experience may be required beyond entry-level.

- Clearly write the Application/State Code on the envelope.
- Address your application to the Executive Secretary/CEO, National Health
· Insurance Scheme, Corporate Headquarters, Abuja.
· Send the soft copy of your application to info@nhis.gov.ng.
· Submit the hard copy to your preferred NHIS state office. You can find addresses on the official website at www.nhis.gov.ng.
· Only shortlisted candidates will progress to the next phase, and you will receive a notification via email.
· Screening for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled, with details sent via email.
